Why DIVINE All Along uses the word “queer”

We use “queer” to encompass all understandings of and all vocabularies for gender expression, sexuality, and personal identity as we evolve over time and across cultures.
It’s our compassionate recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community’s reclamation and celebration of the term, which in the past has been wielded as hate speech to oppress, marginalize, and diminish individuals and our communities.
A “Queer” person is a LGBTQ+ person who knows how to love well, be fiercely courageous, self- empowered, resilient, whole, and possesses unimaginable strength!
