Ending Religious Abuse for Our Queer Family

Religious abuse is a collective wound — and survivors should not have to carry it alone.

Religious abuse does not begin with cruelty. It begins with ideas that is used to justify control, shame, and exclusion — and then protected by institutions.

When harmful theology goes unchallenged, harm becomes predictable, repeatable, and normalized. Over time, systems begin to carry that harm forward, embedding it into culture, policy, and practice.

When Theology Harms, Abuse Follows

Who We Are

DIVINE All Along exists to end religious abuse and restore dignity, safety, and belonging for our queer family.

We do this in three connected ways:

Healing & Support — creating spaces where people harmed by religion can process, heal, and reclaim their worth
Public Education & Advocacy — naming how harmful theology becomes systemic abuse, and why silence is not neutral
Accountability with Faith Communities — helping communities move from intention to real responsibility through our DIVINE Spaces program

We do not offer guarantees or quick fixes. We build the conditions for honesty, accountability, and repair — over time.

The DIVINE Soul’s Bill of Rights

The DIVINE Soul’s Bill of Rights names the non-negotiable dignity and worth that guide all of our work.

Each soul is equal in ALL aspects, divine, sovereign, unique; created with a birthright to explore; know our divinity without interference of any kind and flourish as we are created.

  • No one determines your morals and ethics based on their interpretation of biblical sin.

  • No one can call your innate sexuality and creativity deficiencies.

  • No one has the right to gaslight you into doubting your heart and intuition.

  • No one has the right to decide or condemn your chosen path.

  • No one determines the gender or names you use for G_d.

  • No one can force you into a system that does not serve your soul.

  • No one should ever make you “pay to play”.

  • No one can sell you “ the secret formula”.

You have the right to:

A Human Rights Defender - Not a Religious Institution

DIVINE All Along is not a religious institution of any kind.
We are a 501(c)(3) human rights organization dedicated to ending religious abuse for our queer family.

DIVINE All Along goes beyond being LGBTQ+ affirming. We are grounded in the conviction that queerness is a spiritual gift and a sacred expression of human dignity, not something reduced to a pathology or sinful.

DIVINE All Along is becoming a leading activist organization for LGBTQ+ people and allies who have experienced religious abuse, moral injury, and faith-based trauma.

DIVINE Spaces is a program of DIVINE All Along focused on accountability, prevention, and repair in institutions where religion has caused harm.

Your support makes accountability possible.
